The raw material is essentially aluminium alloy billets, smelted in dedicated furnaces.
The liquid aluminium is transferred from the smelting furnaces to the holding furnaces located next to the presses; the raw material is taken from here and poured into the presses for casting.
Usually, the rough material after casting is subjected to feed head removal, deburring and sanding. |

| Machining operations can be performed on request for the delivery of
finished or semi-finished piece deliveries to customers (boring, threading, milling, turning,
reaming, etc.) as well as other surface finishing operations (galvanic treatments, polishing, tumbling, painting).
All or a part of these processes may be performed in-house or by qualified suppliers.

Furnace

UPE customers are mainly active in the auto, mechanical, lighting, motorcycle, electrical household goods,
gardening and furnishing sectors. The production department covers diverse kinds of parts and can supply customers
with products finished by operations such as painting and anodising.
The UNI EN ISO 9000/2000 Quality System certification of May 1997, certificate 1794-97 AQ MIL SINCERT (DNV), the
laboratory for alloy chemical composition analysis and X-ray equipment are some of the main control and quality
assurance means enjoyed by the company. An internal workshop is equipped for tool maintenance (dies). |
